- material properties (steel, concrete, wood and soils), introduction to elastic, elasto-plastic and plastic constitutive laws
- axial forces, plane bending, uniform torsion and shear stresses analysis
- introduction to plastic compression and bending moment
- fundamental theorems of yield criteria and analysis
- structure deflexion analysis by using the unit force theorem
- introduction to buckling phenomena (Euler's beam)
